New Link Added

For the adventurous sorts amongst you, I have added a link to the Definitive Map of Northumberland. This is the legal document, held by the County Council, that defines the public rights of way. The interface is a little clunky; if you want a better GUI then Bing maps  has an ordnance survey map option that describes the rights of way and is pretty much up-to-date.

Monday 28th Club Run

Don't expect anyone to have time to read this before tonights run, given it's 19:30 already. Simple plan tonight is to run the 10k route from the sports centre. We'll be short of our half marathon runners from yesterday so probably around 6 out tonight.

In future weeks I'll try and post the planned run by lunchtime on Monday's.

I was paddling a canoe on Ullswater at the time so cannot claim to know what the weather was like but reports are it was great day for running.

Any pictures greatfully received and will be published to this blog.

Hello from Ponteland Runners.

I am currently a member and am developing a website for the club; please feel free to get in touch via this temporary blog.

We are a group of mixed abilities and age and welcome new participants.

For an annual fee of £7.50 you can become a signed-up member with UK Athletics affiliation which gives you discount on organised events like the Blaydon Run, or simply come along and run with us; there's no charge.

Currently our women's group run at 19:00 every Monday from the Memorial Hall, and men at  20:10 every Monday night and 19:05 every Friday night meeting in the Car Park of Ponteland Leisure Centre.
